34 Squadron RAF Regiment falls under 2 Force Protection Wing. Based at RAF Leeming, it is a multi-discipline RAF Regiment Squadron which specialises in operating with Armoured Vehicles (Wheeled) such as Jackal, Foxhound.

The Squadron is highly trained in dismounted close combat, Ground Extraction Force, Close Quarter Battle and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear operating environments. It comprises of nearly 170 personnel including RAF Police, Mechanics, Chefs, Clerks and Paramedics.

The Squadron regularly conducts training exercises across the UK and overseas in support of RAF Operations.
